Lakeside Day Nursery
Where Your Child Is Our Main Concern

Picture
Rebecca Lakesiders Team Leader
Hello
We follow the same topics as the rest of the nursery but the way we deliver them is slightly different. As we are the preschool part of the nursery, our daily routine is a lot more structured and we follow the foundation phase, the same as they do in school. The lay out of our room is a lot more ‘school like’ and we include all the areas of learning that they experience in school. It is important to us that your child gets the best head start and experiences in preparation for the start of school.

During our busy fun filled days, we supply breakfast, toast, dinner, tea and a late snack. All our, meals are eaten in our dining room and prepared daily by our chef Lynne. We also cater for children with any food allergies or dietary requirements. We record what your child has eaten throughout the day on a daily eating chart and this information is kept on record. Lakesiders like all other sections has a displayed record on the wall along with the child’s photograph so all staff are aware of the children’s needs. Also any child who has allergies has their photo displayed in the kitchen so our chef Lynne has all the relevant information when preparing lunch and tea.

All staff with in the section have foundation phase training and gives 100% to maintaining a happy, caring and educational environment for all children.
We play outside and learn about the  environment. We love to grow things in our vegetable garden. When it is raining we use our Waterproof Wetsuits to play outside.
